B.C.'s Resort Municipality Initiative now benefiting
13 resort communities

The Resort Municipality Initiative was created to provide resort-oriented municipalities with new finance, development and business promotion tools to enhance the resort sector in British Columbia.

These agreements allow the eligible municipalities to share a portion of hotel room tax to invest in local resort-oriented projects.

All 13 eligible communities have reached agreements with the Province:  

• Fernie
• Golden
• Harrison Hot Springs
• Invermere
• Kimberley
• Osoyoos
• Radium Hot Springs
• Revelstoke
• Rossland
• Tofino
• Ucluelet
• Valemount
• Whistler
