Integrated Resource Management Study
| VICTORIA (May 20, 2008) - The Province has
released an independent report on integrated resource
management that examines approaches for local governments
across British Columbia to use solid and liquid waste to
create energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve
water, and recover nutrients. Resources from Waste: Integrated Resource Management Study
is composed of a report by a study team, the comments of
a technical advisory committee and comments of four peer
reviewers. The report shows that there is broad agreement
about
the usefulness of the integrated resource management
concept, but there are considerable differences of opinion
about how best to apply the concept and about potential costs and revenues. |
